Method and source hierarchy
Which sources FFVR uses, in what order of authority, and how verification works.
Terminology
- Ethical veganism
- A conviction that avoids animal products for ethical reasons. Whether it is protected as a belief in a specific situation is assessed case by case.
- Established law (lex lata)
- What legislation, binding judgments and authoritative sources actually provide today.
- Legal analysis
- FFVR's interpretation of how existing principles may apply. Not a statement of settled law.
- FFVR's position (lex ferenda)
- What FFVR advocates as future legal development, clearly separated from current law.
- Not verified
- No municipal source has been confirmed. It never means that vegan meals are refused.
